Concept
Beauty maximised. Chaos minimised.
Storage is asked to behave as display. The kitchen becomes a curated exhibition of personal objects, and open shelving encourages the user to own only what is necessary and beautiful.
The design centres on a rotating island: the user stays in one place while everything they need swivels toward them. Chairs slide out of the counter and work with a pull-out surface, so seating is part of the counter. It resists the idea that each part of a home belongs to one task.
